Las Vegas, Nev. (October 24, 2004) - The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) in coordination with the American Bucking Bull, Inc. (ABBI) presented the second and final day of World Bullfighting Championships (WBC) and Bucking Bull Classic (BBC) action on Sunday, October 24th from the Orleans Arena. The BBC featured 45 contestants from the PBR's Enterprise Tour competing in two action-packed go rounds for $20,000 in added prize money, while the top 50 bulls that had qualified to compete during the 2004 season, were gunning for a piece of the lucrative $300,000 payout.

Owned in partnership by Page, Buck, and Shippy, it was the bull Big Deal who stole the show, earning $108,000 with the highest total after two rounds of 272.75 points. The best three and four-year-old bulls in the country qualified for the elite BBC competition based upon their performances at Classic Series qualifying events held in conjunction with U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company Challenger Tour competitions during the course of the 2004 season. The PBR contributed $100,000 in prize money to the overall event purse of the BBC to help create the richest event held exclusively for stock contractors and breeders in bucking bull history.

Defending PBR World Champion Chris Shivers (Jonesville, La.) emerged in the top spot of the Enterprise Tour portion of the competition after capturing preliminary go round honors with an 89.5 point score aboard Paradise Farms Rodeo Genetics' BBC entry Dorris. Shivers displayed his characteristic championship form by placing in round two to cinch the event title and with it a $10,086 paycheck for his efforts. Shivers, who underwent surgery to repair a partial thick tear of his rotator cuff in addition to arthroscopic hip surgery this past March, failed to qualify for the Built Ford Tough World Finals for the first time in his celebrated career.

The BBC portion of the competition followed World Bullfighting Championships action which kicked off at 12:00 p.m. Mike Matt dominated the World Bullfighting Championships earning $15,000 as well as a Bob Berg trophy buckle and Tony Chytka Sculpture.
